St. George Orthodox Christian Church is a community where the Holy Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - are worshiped and preached. We are the continuation of the Church founded by Jesus Christ.  We maintain the True Faith and Holy Tradition handed down from generation to generation from the time of the Apostles.

2028 MASTER PLAN SURVEY

In an effort to capture your vision for the new Fellowship Activities Center -FAC- (current Church Hall), a 2028 Master Plan survey has been created.  Every parishioner is invited to think outside-the-box for both “must have” and nice to have requirements. At this point, do not let cost or space constrain your thinking. Survey is available HERE and on the Church app.  


ADVENT RETREAT

“Faith, Hope, and Charity” at St. George on Saturday, December 7th starting at 9:30 am with Fr. Raphael Daly of St. Elias Church in Austin, TX. Register today in the church hall.  Cost is $15/person or $25/couple (Lunch provided).


CPS PARTY

It's that time of year again for us to give back to teens that are currently residing in Child Protective Services Shelters throughout the City of Houston. We anticipate sponsoring approximately 100 teens this year. It's $50 donation per child, but any amount is greatly appreciated. The party is on Saturday, December 14th, between 12pm - 3pm. Please feel free to call / text Georgina A. Toy Drive

We've partnered with Toys for Tots this holiday season to make St. George an official drop off location. Spread some love by donating new and unwrapped toys during Advent. Boxes will be placed in front of the offices.


Family Camp 2020

You have heard of your child's wonderful experience at Camp St. Raphael in the summer. Now it's time for you to share the camp experience! Join us February 14th-17th at the Kaiserhof Retreat Center in Tomball! Deadline to register is Wednesday, January 15th. Register here!

THE ORDER OF ST. IGNATIUS

The Order of St. Ignatius annual Holiday Dinner Party will be held Friday December 6 at Fadi's on Dairy Ashford, tickets are $50. For information contact Dr. George Zaibaq (drzaibaq@swbell.net).

The Order of St. Ignatius is looking for new members. The Order supports many charitable projects including, youth ministries, clergy retirement, summer camps, Syrian refugees, internet ministries, evangelism, Teen SOYO programs and many more.  We spend over 94% of what we collect on charity.  Please consider joining the order.  Please contact George Zaibaq at drzaibaq@swbell.net if you would like to become a Knight or a Dame of the Order.


COMMUNITY CARE SERVICES ELIGIBILITY (FORMERLY DADS) CHRISTMAS LUNCH

Tuesday, December 17, 2019, 9a - 2:30p. St George opens its doors each year for the less fortunate in our city with lunch, gift bags, entertainment, and Santa Claus. We expect 500 mentally and physically challenged guests in two sittings and need volunteers to set up, serve and clean. To confirm your attendance or volunteer to help with this worthwhile event, please see Al Nahas in the hall after Liturgy or email him at al@warriorsremembered.com or call 281-565-6510.

PARKING ASSISTANCE

There is now a drop-off for Parishioners needing assistance into the Sanctuary from 9:30a-10:30a every Sunday morning. The first parking spot closest to the Church on Mercer will be reserved for drop-off during this time.
